Aurora R11, remove HDD replace with SSD
Hello, I’m trying to replace my HDD with my new SSD. Not sure what steps I need to do before installing my SSD. I took out the HDD and put in the SSD. Turned on my PC and now I’m getting a warning message saying Boot failure on device.

Did you either clone the old drive to the new one or clean install Windows 10? You have to install an operating system for the computer to boot into Windows, the drive does not come with an OS. If you want to clean install Windows, this YouTube video will help.

Yeah I didn’t do any of that lol. I just took out the hdd and put the ssd in. I knew it probably wasn’t supposed to be that simple and I knew I probably should have to do something before doing all of that. So I’m guessing I need to put the old HDD back In and then clean install windows

To clean install, you do not need to put back old hdd. Just keep the ssd installed then download MS installation media on another pc. Follow this guide
if you do not have another desktop or laptop pc, then yes put back the old hdd so you can boot up R11 and download the media. Prepare the media on a USB flash drive. Test that you can boot from the usb by press F12 and choose the usb. If all good, you may remove the hdd then and proceed to os install on new ssd.
