That is the Intel officially stated support but this article has more information. It states ..

"The highest officially supported memory speed is 3200 MHz, but with overclocking (and the right memory modules) you can go even higher."

Eerrr! I did this last year when I ordered the R9 and a few weeks later the R11 came out. Now I just ordered the R11 and the R12 comes out. Dangit! Oh well I just eat that 3090 ! I got it with 3400mhz xfury.

If it makes you feel any better, the R12 is just a transitional PC which will have a really really short lifespan, not the new deal. That will be later this year.  Intel 12th gen Alder Lake on a new LGA 1700 socket and 500 chipset will drop by end of this year and that will be the one to look for in the next real generation/ iteration of Aurora.  It should also feature new DDR5 RAM too.

Yeah, but you probably got a really good deal on the R11, which appears to be more or less the same as the R12 sans the 11th gen support.

But really I am assuming they will eventually sell the R12 with 10th and 11th gen chip options. 

Whereas remaining R11 stock will only be offered with 10th gen.
