Aurora R12, Clock watchdog timeout error
Brand new Aurora R12, I9 11900kf 3090 64gb. No overclocking done, nothing. 2 games tried, same issue. Every driver is up to date, did a clean gpu reinstall. Same issue. Rolled back gpu, same error.

I had 2 BSOD issues with my R12 from day one. They were machine_check_exception and clock_watchdog_timeout. For the next 18 days, 4 Dell technicians on the phone and in my machine the following was done:
1) Turn off OC in the BIOS. Didn't work.
2) Try OC Lvl 1 and Lvl 2 to see if would resolve the problem. Didn't work.
3) Run a hardware test on the CPU, RAM and drives. No issues found.
4) Reinstall applicable drivers. Didn't work.
5) Remove and reinstall the OS fresh. Didn't work.
6) Remove and reinstall AWCC (Alienware Command Center Suite). Didn't work.
They then decided that the help they could offer was to send in a tech to replace the CPU. Having read on this thread that someone had this done and it didn't work, and given that I only have a 30 day window to return this machine for a direct replacement, I opted to return it.
I am told that I will have a new machine no later than 8 business days.
I hope this one works.

Update to my post on 05-24-2021 09:44 AM.
I did return my R12 for the BSOD errors. I was also "supposed" to be receiving a brand new system in 8 business days. I was told to wait 48 hours and the new order should update with the new shipment date. They said they would enter an "expedite" request into their system to insure that I received the new PC quickly.
It did not. The shipment date was now July 23, 2021.
I called them back and was informed that due to part shortages the best date they had was in fact July 23, 2021. I informed them this was unacceptable and that I was promised 8 business days.
After several "we are very sorry for your inconvenience" I had heard enough and asked for a full refund.
I was kept on the phone for 15 minutes while they did whatever they needed to do on their end. I received two emails following that call. One showing the cancellation of the replacement PC, and another one confirmed that the request for the refund was in process and to give it 8 business days to show up in my account.
8 days again? 8 days must be their scripted answer for their customers.
I have been an Alienware user for over 10 years and I can't even begin to tell you how disgusted I am with Dell and their new Alienware R12. I will never buy another Dell product again.
If there is anyone from Dell reading these posts be advised that I have contacted my bank right after the last call with your customer service.
Since I paid for this system in cash we have a record of the funds that Dell took from my account. If the funds are not in my account on the 9th business day, I will be working with the bank to pursue Dell and force a chargeback.
I was told that if the funds were not in my account to call them back and they would provide me documentation to take to my bank that supposedly will prove that the refund was executed and completed by Dell.
I don't trust them anymore.

I think he means to say it's not on credit and he paid for it "in cash".

So let me get this straight? You paid in cash from an electronic account? How is this even possible?

I bought both of mine with cash I had on hand, too. I had one of my systems refunded and it took a couple of weeks before the money was back in my checking, but the refund did come through in the end.

Cash as in "I didn't finance anything." I paid it lump sum.
