The one thing I suggest to do is try a bios reset with the jumper.

On your third PC, you can press f2 on boot and disable UEFI firmware capsule updates for bios updates pushed by windows.

You can disable auto bios updates in supportassist for updates pushed out by alienware.

The bios updates come at you from two fronts.  Windows update and Dell.  Any idea how you received the one that did this?

Are you at a black screen, if so is the power button flashing?  If yes, how many flashes before the cycle pauses and repeats?

Or does it click and immediately shut down?

My R11 was dead on arrival, and ended up being a bad stick of RAM. I replaced it and everything has been fine since. Last night I was rendering in Cinema4d like a beast, and this morning, I came into the room and my machine was cycling. I never get to the alienware logo screen, my monitor never even sees that signal is being sent, it just turns on, gives me the 4 blinking lights and then shuts down again. While I'm aware that the manual indicates that my 4 blinking lights are in fact another bad peice of RAM, I'm here asking if this is likely? It feels like a stupid question now that I've typed it out, but can a stick just go bad after working fine for months? Secondly, am I truly better served by having 4 identical sticks opposed to having two sets from different manufacturers? If so, the money isnt really an issue with this replacement for me, and I'd like to maximize my potential when I buy the new sticks, can someone give me some insight on what speed/type/brand i ought to buy? Thank you in advance.

bad ram? Probably not, faulty DIMM slots maybe, very rare for brand new ram to be just fail that quickly unless something is going wrong with the voltages
