Aurora R12, ram swap, 100+ FPS gain
Gained 100+ FPS on my Aurora R12 after swapping the stock 3200MHz 16GB kit out for Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB 2x8GB kit. Rated at 3200MHz CL 16, 16:18:18:36 at 1.35v.
Overall my GPU usage is higher and more stable as well and it's running 100% stable.
Went from 550 average FPS in Fortnite with everything at epic except effects at high, 1080p on a 6800XT to 680-700 FPS with higher clock speeds being reached by my GPU. Overall I'd call it a win even though I had to run to Best Buy and spend $110 for the ram after spending $2500 on the PC in the first place but it goes to show that the stock ram + gearing on the Aurora R12 is a big hindrance.

@Rabbitdude Good stuff !! Just got my R12 not long ago and looking at squeezing a little more performance out of the stuck Gear 2 issue (though I still pray for a BIOS Fix). Do you mind sharing a screenshot of CPU-Z SPD tab? I'm also exploring options from G.Skill and Crucial for 32GB KIT (16 GB x 2).

I'm most likely going to run to Best Buy tomorrow and pick up another 2x8GB kit to top it off at 32GB since this Corsair kit is working great
Funny enough in DX11 mode on world war z previous it was unplayable I'd drop to 4% GPU usage and 20s on the fps now I'm hovering 170-220fps with the only change being the ram and my GPU usage in the benchmark is now an average of 70%

Wasn't the issue, has to be under 4.88mb. Posting from my phone the screenshot is 3204x3204 5.3mb

That does not make sense, just from a RAM swap. Even if this cuts down on latency, it does not add up to make such a large improvement.
What's your current R/W speeds and RAM latency with the new sticks?

6800XT / RDNA2 cards have a deep sleep mode, if high latency causes CPU/GPU calls to take too long that card cycles back and forth or gets stuck in deep sleep mode and throttles the card to 500mhz. I believe the lower latency created the best case scenario where the calls can keep up and keep the card from going into deep sleep. Nvidia cards have high performance so deep sleep does not happen but RDNA2 cards do not have this option without doing a bios mod
my general performance increase in everything else was roughly 50fps, fortnite being an outsider because it's highly CPU bound

What ram test is everyone using so I can post results from what is normally expected. Roadkil is just a highly basic small burst test

Using Roadkil Ram test I got 0 errors detected
Ram Read speed of 8.66Gb/s Ram Write Speed of 26.53Gb/s from a 20sec walking bit test of a 32 - 512mb chunk size test on 1.56Gb of my 15.68Gb total usable system ram. 28.12Gb of data read/written during the test

@Rabbitdude userbench seems common at least from what most owners are sharing.

Another benchmark program to add to my collection. I did not know this one existed.
I am getting write 12.32 GB/sec with 0 errors, and read 30.37 GB.
That is on an R10 3700X with aftermarket 2 * 8 GB 3200 Mhz ram.
