Aurora R13, AWCC, AW610 mouse charge percentage

Picture1.png

FX is showing my mouse fully charged per the battery graphic, but the percentage won't increase beyond 77%. Is this a known issue or did I win the FX bug lottery?

There is a known issue with the latest firmware for the mouse (1.3.8.38). If it's running that firmware then the percentage goes all over the place but never 100% and it reports low battery warning well before it actually is. The solution was to downgrade the firmware to 1.3.0.30, sadly that firmware is no longer listed on the drivers page.

Oddly there are firmware updates dated Dec 3rd 2021 but the version numbers haven't changed. I ain't gonna risk trying them as there is no way back anymore.

I'd update to it, if it's dated the 3rd then it's a rerelease with a fix. I have it on mine and I can report I've had no issues and I updated last week

As per my usual experience with Alienware Command Center software...

it does what it wants; when it wants.

I have the all the latest firmware updates (Dec 2021) in a R9, Windows 11 and the highest it shows after the lights on the mouse signal a full charge is---

I know when I'm beat.I know when I'm beat.

It's entirely possible that tomorrow it may show something different; and absolutely possible that it may work for you.  I just plug the mouse in when the lights start flashing low power and unplug when they say it's full (or some version of full).  Not important enough to worry about...I just want the mouse to work.

Yep, mine has never gone above 77%. There's a glitch in the matrix...

@Rabbitdude

I took the plunge and updated the mouse and dongle firmwares with the latest drivers (Dec 3rd) and for far all is working perfectly.

I provided a review of the mouse a couple of days ago and received a response from Katrina@Dell to check my drivers and ensure they're current. I reinstalled the drivers and still no change to the graphic in AWCC, still shows 76% even though the mouse is fully charged.

Valistar,

Given that you have already reinstalled the mouse drivers and that they are up to date, I would like to give it a try to reinstalling the Alienware Command Center app.

To do this, please follow this tutorial.

Once done, download and install all the drivers listed here except for the Alienware Command Center app again.

Once you are done, please test it out and let me know the results.

That's a whole lot of work to get a graphic issue corrected in AWCC. How about next update of AWCC, your team set it up so that it does a clean install???

I'm confident your programmers can make that happen!
