Quick update. 2TB m.2 installed on the mobo with no problem at all. Configuration is now 1TB m.2 boot drive, 2TB m.2 and 4TB Sata SSD. Will post thermals once I put the system to a heavy load. So far, so good and great looking chassis with nice lighting.
Good News: Far Cry 6 now runs on 38" monitor with high settings and 110 FPS. GPU (3080) never went higher than 73c and the system is super quiet.
Bad News: I have wasted countless hours trying to install MS Flight Simulator but some reason the PC moves into sleep mode while installing, freezes and reboots. Very frustrating and still trying to troubleshoot.
Will still try to post more temps this week but aside from the Flight Sim install issue, I am very pleased and impressed with the R13.
Try disabling atom cores in BIOS before installing flight simulator. Set Atom cores to zero in BIOS, save, and restart. Then go to Alienware CC, select the Performance Power Profile and disable sleep. Then install flight simulator and let us know if it works for you.
I tried to install a 2TB Samsung 2.5" SSD per the manual. The SATA data cable was there, but no power cable. Contacted Dell tech support who then referred me to Dell sales, gave them the page number of the service manual but they had no idea what I ask talking about. Finally got a part number for the supposed cable and it's not on the Dell website. Anyone have any guidance for me?

Do keep us informed, really want to see regular user experiences rather than reviewers experiences.

So it does support 2 x 2280 M2 drives, I presume?

Just make sure to also check the memory Tjunction and GPU hot spot temperatures. You can use GPU-Z "sensor tab" for that.
I run that permanently on my second monitor, together with a bunch of other sensor graphs so I can keep an eye on various feedback sensors.

Samsung 980 Pro
Kingston KC3000
or, WD black SN850 are my choice in SSD's.
That being said, I prefer the 980 Pro

Did the 2TB work on the secondary slot for you? I am looking for one and I want to play it safe. Thanks!

Did you try the one on top or bottom? Only the top one had the power cable on mine.
