Aurora R13, PCIe x4 slot not working?
So, this is following up on the Elgato 4K60 mk.2 capture card not showing up when installed on the top x4 PCIe slot. Been troubleshooting this with Elgato and at this point they haven't been able to find a reason it why it isn't working in the R13.
I finally fished out my NVME PCIe adapter, put a working NVME m.2 drive on it, and that isn't showing up at all either. It's getting power, just as the Elgato card did, but isn't showing up as it does in the other system (same with the Elgato).
I'm on the latest 1.08 bios and I don't see any options to manage the PCIe slots. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As far as me being able to give any further updates, I don't have any. As soon as I get any updates from Elgato or Dell, I post them in this thread. Trust me, I'm as eager as everyone else to hear back from both parties.

There is no released timeline. Like you, our Alienware Desktops engineers are awaiting the internal release of the BIOS. Once received, it will be tested by them and Elgato.

Thanks for the reply, we do appreciate the effort. While i do believe y'all understand our frustration. I think our concerns are justified, some of us would like efficient and hasty resolution to this.

Aurora R13 BIOS 1.1.0 was released today. (Update = Due to issue created with BIOS 1.1.0 and AWCC, it is been pulled from the drivers website. This is under investigation. DELL-Chris M)
Before updating the BIOS, open AWCC (Alienware Command Center) and be sure that Overclock is set to Off =

A failed BIOS update will corrupt the CMOS breaking the motherboard. Follow these instructions =
* Download/Save the BIOS file to the Windows desktop
* Turn the Desktop PC off
* Disconnect all external (USB drives, printer, headset, USB sound devices, etc.) peripheral devices from the Desktop. Disconnect the wireless keyboard and mouse USB transmitter. Go wired. Leaving only the following devices and cables connected =
Power cable
Ethernet cable (if not using WiFi)
Monitor video cable
Wired USB mouse
Wired USB keyboard
* Turn the Desktop PC on
* Close/end task all unnecessary software applications (Browsers, Dell SupportAssist, Dell Update Application, Dell Display Manager, Steam, Anti-virus, etc.)
* Right click the saved BIOS file on the Windows desktop and choose, "Run as administrator". Note, you do not need to extract the file. Just run it
* Follow the prompted instructions. The Desktop PC will reboot on its own. Do NOT force it to reboot or power off
UPDATE March 23, 2022 =
Users are stating that BIOS 1.1.0 did correct the PCIe x4 slot card issue. But, now AWCC fails to overclock.
* If you installed BIOS 1.1.0 to fix your added PCIe x4 slot card issue, do NOT downgrade the BIOS. For the time being, just overclock via the BIOS.
* If you have not added a PCIe x4 card, you do not need BIOS 1.1.0. Downgrade the BIOS to get AWCC overclocking back.

I'll still need to do testing with other cards, but this one is now showing up. I'll be back in a couple hours to run capture tests.

Was able to get playable capture, and the card was now seen though i still think there are issues in the PCI bus given Device manager is telling me that pci bus hardware still cannot be recognized.

@tansoftware You might want to check the power requirements of that card, if it is required to supply 100w (or whatever TB4 spec is) then your PSU might not have enough capacity unload to handle it depending on which video card you have.

Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2 is showing correctly in device manager, and it's showing up in HWINFO as Yuan Yuan Enterprise, Device ID: 0710.
Captures have been perfect using the 4k capture utility from Elgato.
It'll be a little bit before I can test any other cards because they are in use for testing another system. If anyone has other cards to test, please report the results in here.
Have to say I'm very happy for the work put in to get this resolved. Huge thanks goes to the Dell support teams, engineers, etc., and Elgato teams for buying the system, troubleshooting, support communication, and so on. Well done!!!
