yes, wait and see.  So far, this is the most un-upgradable enthusiast-grade pc I ever owned.  In another post here they show the 750watt vs the 1000watt power supply.  I was thinking of trying to upgrade to prep for the new 4000x series gpus, but even the 1000watt supply only has 2 power cables of awg-18 for the gpu.  I would not want to pull that many watts across 2 feeders with a y-adapter.  oh well.

Who knows at this point until they release the new bios update, we probably won't know much.

is the power supply on it upgradable ? or there's some quirk that wont allow standard ones to fit ?

It doesn't use standard connectors.  I have an adapter to test to see if I can use a third-party psu.  I'll probably work on that Saturday, maybe tomorrow afternoon.  We'll see.

Seems the Twitter announcement was a bit - chicken before the egg..   I'm thinking maybe they should have implemented XMP then announced it??!!

In anycase, I hope those early adopters who have the 4800 DDR5 currently clocked at 4400 will at least get 4800 available.  If not, then they've opened another can of worms...

its a custom physical size. there is no room in the case for a normal sized standard power supply.

The size isn't a problem.

If it was the idea that the stock ram would also get the xmp treatment, you'd think they wouldn't offer the 4400MHz option in the build.

Any update on this?  Still can't find the ram for purchase from Dell, and no word on a BIOS update that will allow us to enable XMP.

All smoke n mirrors

In other news, my MSI Z690I Unify board now supports DDR5 7000 and 13 series Intel CPU's   Dell's response - "We have enabled XMP for the R13 - but its not supported yet and oh, April Fools"

Bumping this again.  Can anyone working for Dell/Alienware give any info on this?

@DELL-Chris M any response to your outreach to the powers that be regarding the Kingston RAM and XMP support for the Aurora R13? Thanks

Email sent Sunday night. No replies yet. Still no new memory sticks on the internal Aurora R13 parts page.

I suspect there was a mistake in the Twitter video, and maybe its the R15 that gets XMP and not the unlucky R13.  I'm hedging my bets its the R15 that gets support, as the 13th Gen Intel is about to drop, and no doubts the R15 is already in development.

He was pretty specific on the model, specs, and time when it was supposed to drop.
