Don't know for sure what the original build date was supposed to be, but I think it was second week of December. I changed the base R13 to RTX 3080, 64GB "4800MHz" ram (4400 in reality), and the cryo cooler option.
Thank you for the info. That is the exact system I ordered but I changed the SSD HD and it now comes standard with the 3080 instead of 3090. I also went for the cryo as well.
And you have the latest BIOS, the latest AWCC updates, etc? Did you have to reinstall all of your programs again? I don't want to have to go through the hassle of reinstalling everything again, plus any game saves, profiles, etc. All I really want to do is to be able to control the RGB.
@Duc_Pilot yes, you'll have to reinstall everything if you do a complete wipe. You can do a repair upgrade installation. You'll get the option to keep apps and files. Not sure if that's going to fix the problem with awcc though. There's also an option to only keep personal files, and everything else is gone.
You see, a software program should never require you to reinstall the complete OS in order to "fix" the issue.
You should be able to uninstall and reinstall the software. AWCC in my opinion needs a serious software engineered upgrade, as it is way to large for what it does. I think the installation is around 1 Gig of data, for what essentially can be done with a few other free programs for under 100 MB.
The only thing that cannot be controlled by a third party free program is the RGB portion. For all the rest there are free programs that perform way better and do not cause all these issues and take up way less resources.
I would not bother installing it, but that is just my opinion.
I'm 50/50 on mine but thats better than the R12 that I had previously..
Positives - its a nice looking machine and the RTX3090 rocks
Negatives - No XMP ram ability.. No RAID ability on the SATA or NVME slots - Even though there is the option for RAID or AHCI, there seems not to be any RAID configuration at all available.. Very limited BIOS yet again.. The fastest NVME Gen4 drives still peak out at about 4800mb/s (I have WD_black SN850's)
Took about a month for production and delivery; 5 months in wouldn’t power up …shipped back to Dell and they fixed the problem quickly with fast turn around …but now a year later and out of warranty and the video ports no longer functioning …two times now in a year and a half for this kind of money …not worth it

Why would in reinstall the entire operating system because the AWCC software does not work? That makes no sense what so ever.

A reinstall is the only change that worked for me when AWCC failed on my R13. I was dreading doing it but it was fairly easy and quick.

@Wardski1974 here are my drive speeds:
WD SN810 1TB
Samsung 980 Pro 2TB
When you say 4800, is that read or write? The sn850 is rated at 7,000 read/5300 write.

Crystal DiskMark8 and Samsung Magician software. Download Western Digital Dashboard. You can check your firmware, drive health, etc. for your SN850.

Actually, testing in Crystal DiskMark8 im getting seq 6952 read 5309 write. Maybe no issues after all on the SSD side.
I just wish RAID arrays were supported.... such a fail
