The R13 got a number of positive reviews such as here. Keep in mind that the majority of posts in the forum are from users having problems. Rarely will you see a post from someone happy with their system. The R13 is a powerful system and possibly a user with a positive experience will respond.
But in the meantime this forum thread may ease your concerns.
i'd say i am happy with it but pretty frustrated with some design choices that should be trivial by now... my biggest gripe is that they used ddr5 at 4400 speed and disabled the ability to use xmp3 and to make use of faster RAM kits.
I do like it. It's hard to be happy happy when you throw so much money at a system, then find out it doesn't have basic things everyone else has. At this point, OP, you haven' received it, and kinda know about the issues, and features it is lacking. If you're ok with that, then it won't be hard for you to be happy and enjoy your purchase.
Just understand that this system, as it is now, is not an upgradeable system. What you order is basically what you're going to be stuck with.
Got mine last night - and where I'm having growing pains with Windows 11, I'm loving it. It is SO fast (I bought an i9 with a 3080 - 64gb ram) - I installed a 8tb SSD for my 'data' drive. But yeah, love it...
Have had mine for about two months now and have been very happy with it. I have the RTX 3090 version. Only issues is with the AWCC not loading after update. Still have not found a solution for it. Spent two hours on the phone with Dell support, and there final solution was to reinstall Windows 11. I told them nope not going to happen.
It should work fine out of the box. I would try it out as is, see how well it works. Thermal repasting is practically going to provide a few degrees Celsius lower temperatures at best.
Two more quick questions, Do you remember what your in production date was and did you change the base configuration of the system you bought? Thanks for the information.

Just picked up an r13 from MC today.
I was wondering if youd recommend any preventative maintenance before I fire her up.
Replacing thermal paste, inspecting connections? Its been a while since I've had a new system I actually care about.

What was the turnaround time from your order to in production to it being shipped?

If I may ask, why do you not want to reinstall Windows 11? Is it you just do not want to mess with the hassle of it all?
