Aurora R14, swapping fans and errors

I bought 3 be quiet fans and swapped out my stock fans from alienware to use on my old pc.

Sometimes if I boot up my pc, fan #2 would fail and if i restart right there, it will be working fine.

I've returned and gotten another fan but the same happens.

Then I tried to swap the fan around. Every time it would be fan #2.

If I put stock fan back, everything would be fine.

Any geniuses here can figure out why this happens?

I believe it's because the fans are starting at a lower RPM than what the BIOS is looking for.  Also, why on Earth would someone want to use stock AW fans on any computer?  yikes.

Go into AWCC and adjust the fans to have a +10% offset.  Keep increasing that until you don't get the error any more.

Your post is confusing. Clarify.

"I bought 3 be quiet fans and swapped out my stock fans from alienware to use on my old pc."
Meaning = "I bought 3 be quiet fans and swapped out my stock fans from Alienware (Aurora R14?) to use on my old pc (model?)."

"Sometimes if I boot up my pc,"
Which one? The Alienware or old PC?

I tried that. But it's louder than the quiet profile. quiet can go as low as 11% but if i set it to 10% offset itll be above 22%.

First load after I went shopping no failure though. I will set it to 10% offset every time before I shut down for now and observe behavior.

Thanks for your help.

Support for aftermarket fans is limited on these systems. That is why you get fan errors during post.

I literally just got this error message on my R14. I put in all nocturnals. Please let me know if you figured out a solution. Thanks.

There are only going to be certain Noctua fan models that work.
