If it shows something different, like empty address or no adaptor recognized we can go from there.
I am thinking likely your new router is not configured properly. Did you follow the instructions on the new router on how to set it up, and did you complete the setup?
Without model number we don't know what night hawk you have, but try to see if your model # is listed on the web page below and if it is download the app and follow the installation instructions.
Yeah, Netgear Nighthawks are good (I have one, and just installed a newer model for my brother). His install was easy-peasy. Mine's been rock solid for years.
Be sure Aurora-R3 is still set to a Dynamic IP address (NOT fixed or static).
If you can reach the Router's config page from the Aurora-R3, very unlikely there is anything wrong with your WIRED ethernet card or cables (which you SHOULD be using).
Power Reset EVERYTHING, then from a Command prompt, you can try:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Good luck. Sorta hard doing this kinda network-troubleshooting stuff from a forum though.
Thanks for your help I tried an IP config release and I got a message this operation failed as no adapter in the state permissible for this operation...
Hello OK so here we are… I didn’t I can fig slash all what I got was his name the name We call our computer
under primary DNS suffix I have nothing
under node type I have hybrid
under IP routing enabled I have no
under wins proxy enabled I have no
It was a Nighthawk a 600 that went bad… We are now back to the spectrum router which is now feeding to other computers and working beautifully there are no lights on the cord to the computer in question… And as I mentioned I have already tried other cords… So I’m pretty sure it’s not the cord

Update now I have no monitor by which to view what’s taking place after I tried the ipconfig /all....After a few moments I get “monitor going to sleep”... and then back to black screen? Thoughts now?
Another update I had to plug-in another monitor via my HDMI in order to view what would’ve been a second screen… The first screen notifies and stays black… At some point I typed in system on a reboot and it brought up Windows 7 display where I can see both monitors were present. When I hit detect monitors both went black and I had to reboot and go into the HDMI monitor… Just to let you know
Have you considered doing the free win 10 upgrade available on microsoft's website? It may (or may not) resolve all your problems. But win 7 is EOL and no longer supported for 99% of users (unless you have a separate arrangement with Microsoft).
P.S. you can left click with your mouse and drag it over the text in the command prompt window and it will turn white. You can then ctrl c to copy that text, and ctrl v to paste it on here. Saves you the time having to type it all. Don't try to use the right click copy on your mouse, that will not work. You have to use keyboard copy paste keys.

1. They are good but not bullet-proof. A reminder that they are just "consumer" models. A general failure of Routers is that they work for years, eventually over-heat (since no fans) ... and they end-up cooking themselves.
However, it might have just needed a good master-resetting and the latest firmware applied (seen that too).
2. Good to know ... good troubleshooting.
3. Sounds like the Aurora-R3's on-board wired ethernet card might be bad. Go into BIOS and be sure it is still on. Maybe switch-it on/off.
4. The little lights on the ports (on each end) should be ON. Otherwise, the cable is bad or the port/card/circuit is dead.
If truly bad, you switch-it-off in BIOS and then install a new one in a free PCIe-slot.
If I could get to the Internet that’s certain there’s a possibility... right now I’m trying to figure out how to get my computer to recognize the original monitor.
Any thoughts on how I can get my displays to recognize only one monitor… For some reason it is not showing my original manager but I hooked up another monitor and it’s acting as a dual monitor… This is the only way I can communicate with the computer now

Type ipconfig under a command prompt.
It should show something like this:
Ethernet adapter Ethernet:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : home
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.55
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.2
Does it instead show something like this:
Ethernet adapter Ethernet 2:
Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Or does it show something like this:
Wireless LAN adapter Local Area Connection* 2:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::e1a6:39ee:44:a9ec%15
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.137.1
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

R3 is an old machine maybe the new router is having trouble Negotiating speed
Try fixing the network adapter to fix the maximum speed (100Mbs) and not auto-negotiate. @Vanadiel mentioned this here

Try plugging in only one monitor that works, usually windows will render primary display on a single display connected
