When the R4 is off, (sometimes) the alien head on the front will rapidly flash orange. Non-stop. By rapidly, I mean a few times a second, so very fast.
The system does start normally and without error, but that flashing light is annoying.
Also, once I power on and the lighting system initializes, the flashing stops and it changes to the saved color.
What could be causing this behavior?
Well, if it's truly Off and Shut-Down ... it should not be able to power, light, or flash any lights.
I guess you are talking about Windows Sleep-Mode.
Yes, the initial preset for "Sleep Mode" in Alien-FX is to slowly flash/glow the Zone_1-2 LEDs amber. Maybe your programming for the preset got changed? Just change to something you like.
