Aurora R4, cannot install BIOS A11?
Hey guys,
I can't update my BIOS from A03 to A11 because the exe always says "failed to load driver". Any solutions?

Try A04 (or the next one) first. Do the others in order .

(@Tesla, I didn't see you'd posted, when I got here, no one had posted help yet)
If you're on 03, you can't jump straight to 11, try 05 1st
The Bios updates should be done in a step-wise fashion, like 3 > 5 > 7 > 9 > 11
*User Chuck went from 3 > 5 > 11, other advice says 3 > 5 > 7 > 11 (both skip 9)
Note that each Bios firmware flashing attempt can 'break' or 'brick' the motherboard & render it useless (a failed flash); R4s are known to brick ok?
While the firmware can be launched through Windows like any other .exe file, Tesla1856 recommends doing a (or each) flash through DOS on a bootable flash drive I believe (Rufus), not executed through windows & a running windows environment, where bootable DOS = safest, most probable way to avoid bricking ...
The PC can not lose power during the firmware flash; if PC freezes or appears to lockup during flash you should not manually kill power or it'll brick
The files are on the FTP site Historical Drivers
Update Alienware Auorora R4 BIOS version A02 to A11?
My R4 mthrbrd was purchased used with A11, I've never done a Bios flash on it nor used Rufus to make a USB stick, nor know how to recover a bricked R4 board; Bios updates should only be done if u have an issue you're trying to correct, not just because you feel better being on 'the latest'. Using the archive to search older posts is helpful Aurora R4 Bios
If you like, await other member input before u proceed & good luck
