Aurora R5 RAM Upgrade - Wrong RAM?
Tried installing into Aurora R5 - Crucial 16GB DDR4 2400 MHz RDIMM Memory Module
- 16GB Capacity
- 2400 MHz Clock Speed
- PC4-19200
- 288-Pin RDIMM
- 1.2V
- CAS Latency of 17
- ECC
- Registered
- Dual Ranked
- x8-Based Chips
And the computer won't boot... Please help on why it's not compatible.

Contact Crucial Support (if you purchased directly from them and not some reseller on Amazon) and they will figure it out. It you bought from a reseller, contact them and/or Amazon for a return and refund.
I checked Crucial site and it said this ram is not compatible with your computer.

From what I read, the Aurora R5-7 are quite sensitive as to which memory is compatible.
The memory state in the the R7 manual is: Up to HyperX FURY DDR4 XMP at 2933 MHz. To be specifying a particular brand kind of implies not all DDR4 modules are compatible.
