Aurora R5. USB2 port does not recognize keyboard.
Aurora R5. The USB2 port where the keyboard (standard wired alienware keyboard) has always been connected, has ceased to recognize it.
1) A message appears saying that the USB device can't be recognized. That the device descriptor can't be load. Also in the Device Manager.
2) No LED lit on the keyboard at any time.
3) Totally unable to type or select anything with the keyboard. Impossible to use function keys at the startup.
4) Other devices in that port work well (pen drive or mouse)
5) The same keyboard in another port works well.
6) Another keyboard in that port does not work either.
6) The same happens when starting from a recovery USB drive.
I've tried to uninstall the keyboard driver, I've passed all the ests from Dell Support Assist... Nothing.
What could happen so this port is locked only for keyboards.
Thanks to all for your help.

You should normally be using the ports on back-of-machine for a KB or Mouse.
Pretty sure USB-v3.0 ports handle a bit more power than old USB-v2.0 ports.
Sounds like it's a bad/flakey port or motherboard/USB-Hub thinks a whole keyboard is drawing to much power.
5. Sounds like an acceptable work-around
