Aurora R5, add external power switch for arcade cabinet?

I have an Aurora R5 I’m going to install inside of a MAME arcade cabinet. I want to be able to add an external power switch to enable me to turn on/off the cabinet. Many mobos appear to have a j7mper that allows you to connect the power switch....but not the R5.

is it possible to splice into the existing power switch to enable a second power switch to be mounted in the arcade cabinet and also turn on/off power? Anyone have any tips or experience?

Im planning on using a switch like this for the cabinet,

thx.

dell does not document the Digital power pins , for power on on their OEM mobo, I know mine the hard way.

you confuse OEM boards with top boards say made by Asus. or MSI,   there is no world standard for this.!

Ive no idea what you need, at all on this, mime cabinet. nor what OS you run nor how you plan to turn off windows, (do you have keyboard or mouse in this thing?) no photo of it so we have clue.

my wild guess KIOSK mode.  (done many I have)

here's is how to get that to work. (assumes you can shut it down clean)

in your DELL in BIOS set power setting to auto turn on , , at power loss and restart. (do not pick do nothing)

then use power line to turn on the PC.  connect AC to any kind of power switch you want, vast exists.

a light switch in a box works. make one. buy one.

  • BIOS F2
  • power management.
  • AC RECOVERY.
  • POWER ON. (NOT OFF ,NOT LAST STATE)

you must use windows to shut down , if you have blocked the power button to the PC Case , inside some Kiosk.

then you do have big problem. but IDK what you have.

Thansk for the tip.

Ideally I would like to leverage the switch I linked and drill it into the side of the cabinet and it would act as an alternative for the power switch on the box (as it won't be accessible).

As such, I wanted to wire it into the existing switch wiring for the power supply....so trying to figure that out if anyone has any suggestions on the location/wiring for the existing switch.
