Aurora R5, additional cost to retain hardware
I recently purchased an additional drive for my out of warranty Aurora R5. But was then told that if I wasn’t returning the old drive there would be an additional cost of £30. Why am I being charged to keep something that I already own?

Hardware like hard drives that is replaced under warranty must be returned or you will be charged for it. You must Ship back all products replaced under warranty for which you received a CRA number. Note: Before you return the product to Dell, make sure to back up any data on the hard drive(s) and on any other storage device in the product. Remove any and all confidential, proprietary and personal information as well as removable media such as flash drives, CDs and PC Cards. Dell is not responsible for any confidential, proprietary or personal information; lost or corrupted data; or damaged or lost removable media that may be included with your return. Typically, you are required to return a failed drive when you receive a replacement. To Keep Your Hard Drive service has an additional cost.
