Aurora R5, boot drive missing when reinstalling windows

So i did the windows recovery and reset the computer, removing all files.  I get to the screen where it says "Hi, There, lets get a few basic things out of the way"  and then asks for country, language, keyboard layout, and time zone.  I select those and press "Next".

It then goes to a screen that says "Why did my PC restart?"  and says theres a problem thats keeping us from getting your PC ready to use.  It then says these instructions:

1.  Make sure you PC is plugged in.

2.  If this PC uses Wi-Fi, select next to follow instructions to connect

3.  If this PC does not use Wi-Fi, insert a network cable to connect and select Next.

4.  Once you're connected, select Next and the update will install.

I am using an ethernet cable, so i press Next.  It then goes to a spinning dots screen, and says "Just a moment...".  it does this for a few minutes, and then goes black, and then starts back up at the screen asking for country, language, etc.

Since that doesnt work, i then inserted a USB drive and boot from that to get the windows installer.  None of the troubleshooting tools work, so i tried to do a custom reinstall.  When i do this, the 128gb SSD that came with the machine and had windows on it, does not show up in the list to format, or install windows.  It does show the 1TB Data hd.  If i click "browse" to look for a driver though, the 1tb data drive shows up as the C drive (the SSD was originally the C drive) and the 128gb SSD shows up as the Boot (X:) drive in this list, so the computer is seeing it.  How do i fix this?
