Aurora-R6, compatible with RTX 2080?
Hi,
I want to upgrade my Aurora-R6 GPU to the newest RTX 2080. But I wonder what type of RTX 2080 will fit in and does the motherboard support the RTX 2080 or not?

The power supply alone is too small so no this isn't working.

I read that GTX-2080 only uses 35watts more than GTX-1080, so Alienware 850watt PS should be fine.
A good clue as to whether your power-supply is compatible is if the proper PCIe-Power-Cables are provided. Also, remember that this PS is modular and it might accept more PCIe-Power-Cables (you get those from Dell Parts).

Absolutely will work. Power consumption is slightly higher, so check to make sure that you have ample 6/8 pin connectors, or see what you need to get, like the previous poster mentioned. The 850watt psu is plenty strong for two modern cards. The 20xx series does not support sli, but does support NVlink, you have two pci-e slots, you can run two 2080's in NVlink, when the bridge becomes available.

Be careful which one you buy. I bought the one below and it is 12.13" and it will not fit in my R6 or R7 case without removing the fan. It has 3 fans on it but I am not sure if I want to remove the front fan. Thoughts ?

Late response, but I was able to put a 750 watt by corsair, as well as an RTX 2070 Super with no issues.

Just replace your PSU with the 850W modular Dell
Just pop out the small Plastic Bracket.

Yeah but the triple fan GPUs are too long to fit in there though. It's not the bracket that's the problem, rather, the dimensions of the case.
