Simple question, has anyone tried installing a 2TB NVMe SSD in the Aurora R7 or not does it support it?

Yes, it is supported. And also I'm pretty sure they sold it stock with a 2TB M2 NVMe boot option (in lieu of optane + platter).

According to the Crucial site, a 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD is compatible. That information can be found here.
