Yes it is seated properly, I do not have any spare batteries so I want to use my warranty, some USB and Ethernet ports are not working properly too, so I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone. Furthermore, before this whole cmos thing happened, the PC would have every light and fan on, but no display output would be seen. The keyboard lights would turn on and off in sync with my monitor showing a no signal image then turning off. I think there is something wrong with the memory as well.

Yes you should be able to use your warranty.

But have you checked if the battery is seated properly? Have you tried replacing it?

CMOS battery is a one dollar coin cell battery available in any store that sells batteries. Directions for installing are in the manual. It is not covered by warranty. It does not need to be.

Follow all the precautions in the manual for working on your computer. You can fry the motherboard if you are not careful. It is an easy fix but you might consider getting help if you are not comfortable with doing it yourself. The other posters thought you were asking about a laptop computer.
