1. I suggest you call phone-support and get it fixed.
2. Really? Look closely

F12 to run ePSA Diagnostics First page tests take about 5 minutes. After it finishes Testing, it should say everything Passes. It will ask about running Extended Tests that take 4 hours - If you don't expect Memory failure, you can skip RAM Tests Click arrow button (bottom right) to go to second screen (detailed Test Results) Notice all the components that tested good System Health/ Fans / CPU-FAN is actually the impeller-RPM of Asetek Liquid Cooler pump - Pump Impeller RPM is constant/fixed and should be between 5280-5350 RPM TOP-FAN (radiator-fan): around 1160 RPM FRONT-FAN: 450 RPM (PCIe slots & cool-air intake fan) HARD-DRIVE: 26c CPU Thermistor: 35c-54c -----------------------------------------------
3. Right. However, I'm guessing slightly newer versions like v4.8.23.0 will also work.
Lots of post in this thread. It would have been nice if someone with an actual Aurora-R7 would have posted their final working BIOS and AW-CC versions.
I'll try v4.8.23.0 next, failing that one, then I don't know what to do. What's the best way to contact support/dell textually [as in not calling]? Probably a silly question, that.
@JaseDakota wrote: 1. When I ran the ePSA test last night your post was what I followed and all the fan speeds and temperatures were at or very closely around the ones you posted.
2. I just tried 5.2.29 [Didn't realize it was the windows store version]
3. but I'm going to try 4.8.25 next and see if that works.
4. Oh also using support assist I did update my Bios the other day when the new one came out. Dunno if that has anything to do with anything, though.
1. Good. Then there is a good chance your Asetek Liquid-Cooler is OK.
2. No, don't use that version.
3. Maybe, but as I posted ... v4.8.23.0 would be my next choice. Any AW-CC must be clean-installed (ie, all traces of old one must be removed first).
Ok I installed the one you suggested, the only thing I did differently during the install this time is when it asked to restart, I told it I would restart later. It then started up by itself...and worked! So I then shut down the computer and let it sit for a minute...started the computer back up...and it still works! CPU fan is showing 5,200ish RPMs, and I can change the light FX again. Hopefully it'll keep working and not just for a few days. Thanks a alot Tesla!

4. Possibly. I don't use Support-ASSist. Also, you said problem has been present since you got machine.

1. Good work
So, sounds like AW-CC v4.8.23.0 works properly on an Aurora-R7.
2. You are welcome.
Don't update or mess with and it you should be fine.
