Aurora R7, Event ID 41 Kernel-Power only after first reboot
Greetings everyone. It's been a while since I've posted here. I've got a bit of an oddity with my R7. I'm attributing it to software, possibly a Windows update, that's causing my R7 to do this.
My R7 is running Windows 10.0.19043. It's up to date as far as drivers and BIOS are concerned.
Behavior: the first reboot after the PC has powered on from an off-state results in a critical error (41) Kernel-Power event message. Windows will say it's rebooting, then the R7 appears to power off momentarily. I hear the PS relay click followed by all case lights extinguishing. The computer will then power back on, Windows appears to start, then will power off again. Windows starts on the next go.
Subsequent reboots are clean, meaning if I reboot again and as long as the computer has not been shut down prior to the second reboot, I do not get this event message. PS relays do not click. Power to the R7 does not appear to get cut.
It's very strange, and something I have not been able to troubleshoot. Any suggestions?

Think I might have sorted it... seems to have been an issue with RAM timings perhaps? OC off but XMP on in BIOS caused issues. Turning OC back on and leaving XMP1 enabled seems to have resolved the issue. Then again, Dell's R7 BIOS leaves a lot to be desired...

The double start is usually the PC applying an OC setting from the AWCC OC tab. If you move any sliders in the app, whether or not you put it back to the way it was before, it will do the double start the next time you restart and apply your "changes." If you move the sliders several times, then I've experienced it applying custom settings that were never inputted.
Additionally, if you turn OC on in AWCC, it will override a previously set BIOS setting and load whatever custom setting you inputted in AWCC on the next restart. The app is very glitchy so I personally don't use it. I have OC turned off in AWCC (I don't touch that tab) and XMP turned on via BIOS.

That's what I thought as well, but was experiencing double start symptoms with OC off and XMP enabled in BIOS. I didn't even have the AWCC OC component installed.
However, turning OC on in BIOS seemed to have cured the problem. I suppose something was stuck in BIOS that got overwritten and cleared by enabling that feature.
