Aurora R7, Windows 10, mouse not waking computer from sleep

Hi guys,

I just got myself a new Alienware gaming mouse (latest white model on site).  Its great, but it doesn't appear to be able to wake the computer from sleep.

I have gone into its properties and under the power management tab set it to allow to wake up computer, but it still refuses to do so and the only way I can wake the pc is by pressing the power button.  I am running an Aurora R7 on windows 10.

Any suggestions welcome.

Does your keyboard wake the PC i.e pressing the space bar for example? Wondering if its not just the mouse.

If it does I would Google the Mouse model and phrases not allowing to wake PC etc. Sounds like a setting or something.

Hibernation automatically starts after a while in sleep. That requires a brief press of the power button. Change the settings in Power Options, Advanced settings so it meets your needs. You can even turn off Hibernation.

You have to click the mouse (not just move it) to wake from Sleep. I don't use Hibernation (as my Aurora-R6 cold-boots from NVMe-SSD in under 10 seconds).

IIRC, it was a BIOS option.

Yep, here ... this was in my notes:

Already Enabled - DeepSleep Control in S4 and S5
Enabled Now - USB Wake Support in S3 (Can wake from Sleep with Mouse now)

hi yes,, the keyboard wakes it up,, just not the mouse and the previous mouse (cheap gaming mouse) did.  So I dont think anything in the computer settings has changed

I just realized this morning my gaming mouse does not wake the PC either by moving or clicking. Maybe its by design - also with yours.

I always just hit my space bar on the KB. I have the Steelseries RIVAL 650 Wireless gaming mouse.
