Aurora R7, cpu upgrade?
I currently have an i5-8400 and I want to upgrade to an i5-9600k. I have heard a lot of things about making sure it is compatible with the motherboard and stuff. I know they have the same cpu socket so it should fit (lga 1151). But I don’t know if I need to take an other precautions before buying it.

Aurora R7, no, sorry. The best CPU for the Aurora R7 was the YYVN7 i7-8700K.

Resist the temptation to upgrade. The processor you have is pretty good to start off with and if you use your computer for gaming, the more significant performance upgrades are from the fitting an SSD and graphics card(s).
A cheap step is Intel i5-8600k which can be overclocked (I did this but can't justify outlay for i7 series), if you have deeper pockets, then Intel i7-8700k or i7-8086. i9 processors will not work in R7.
