Aurora R7, i7-8700K, compatible? #2

I want to upgrade cpu from i5 8400 to i7 8700k. I have a Alienware aurora r7. In order for it to work do I need to update bios or do anything for the install or can I just take i5 out and put in i7 and put some thermal paste on and put the cooler back on?? Do I need to install anything?? What overall do I need to do?

Since your motherboard does not have VRM-heatsink , you should stick to plain i7-8700 (NO K-Class). Still, it is very fast.

Yes, the Intel-i7 needs a Liquid-Cooler.

Yes, always good to be running the latest BIOS (regardless of this project).

You swap processor like any other (see Google or YouTube). This is an advanced project. Maybe get some help. Try not to blow motherboard (or it will all be for nothing).
