Aurora R7, installing Crucial ram stick, simple guide?

Hi guys,I am looking for a simple step by step guide to install some extra ram into my sons Aurora R7. BIOS is 1.0.2. It currently has a Samsung 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 in the first white ram slot. I bought a Crucial 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 ram stick, fitted it (into any of the slots it doesnt matter) and the orange Alien flashes 4 times. I remove the new stick and it works, put it back in and the faults there again, remove the old stick and it does the same fault 4 flashes of the alien. That's with only the new stick fitted. I've tried the CMOS clearing trick and doesn't seem to make any difference. I'm a total noob, know nothing about computers but want to help my son out. Would really appreciate the right advice. Service Manual shows how to install. The new ram must match the specs of the old ram and be in the slot #2. If it doesn't work it is the wrong ram. Crucial will guarantee the ram if you followed the rules on their site. Do not buy ram from any other seller especially not from online sellers on marketplaces like Amazon. It must be ordered from Crucial.com. Return the ram to the seller and buy from Crucial.

Theres as bunch of threads on here about Aurora R7 RAM if ya do a quick search. I also have seen people mention buying memory on Amazon. I have this bookmarked in case I wanted to upgrade from 16GB to 32 GB
