Aurora R7, internet not working at all
Hi, so for the past few months I have been encountering more and more issues with my computer. It has mainly been internet related. About a month or two ago my ethernet randomly stopped working, it wasn't to big of a deal because my wifi still worked ok(ish). About 3 or 4 weeks ago, my WIFI started to gradually stop working, I then kept getting other random issues like large amounts of lag, process's not working, and a bunch of other random problems, I then factory reset my computer twice. Even after these 2 factory resets, a network reset, and many many instances of command prompt commands, going into properties of my networks, and other stuff related to trying to fix it, it just keeps getting worse. I can no longer use my wifi anymore and have to use my phones hotspot, and now that is starting to not work. I am not getting and errors, or anything saying something is wrong. I don't know what to do anymore and I am in desperate need of help. I will give any information I can about this and my computer.

A little information about your computer would be most helpful...as in what model Aurora, what brand/model WiFi card, how old is the computer, did it work OK originally, what operating system, do other devices in your house that use WiFi or ethernet function properly?...things of that nature.
Thanks.

I have a Alienware Aurora R7 that I got in 2018, with Windows 10 Pro and Killer Wireless 1535. It did work originally, and all of my other devices (both wifi and ethernet) work fine.

OK, if other devices work fine on your internet/Ethernet then that allows us to remove the problem from there. That leaves a hardware/software problem with your R7. If I recall correctly, Killer uses separate drivers for their WiFi and Ethernet device...so the chances of a software problem affecting both over time is very small...however this leads me to conclude a higher probability of a hardware problem. The question would be is it the WiFi device or a problem with the motherboard, since I think the Ethernet is handled by a separate device.
The Killer Wireless 1535 is a WiFi/Bluetooth device...does your Bluetooth function OK?

My bluetooth seems to work fine, it only looks to be the wifi and ethernet, sorry for the late reply!

I recall reading about a case similar to yours where the Wi-Fi function got worse over time and a replacement Wi-Fi board solved the problem.
I still think it's either the Wi-Fi or the motherboard that has failed...a new Killer Wireless 1535 is about $20 dollars US on the open market...a new motherboard of course much more expensive and much more work to replace. Sorry, I'm out of any other ideas.

Do you not have warranty on this machine? I think it might be the motherboard might be on the blink or WiFi card?
