Aurora R7 with BT KB/mouse – Bios KB initialization failure
Aurora R7 with Bluetooth KB and mouse – Bios Keyboard initialization failure
My brand new Aurora R7 is superfast and works like a breeze, it boots within a couple seconds. I am very happy with it. With only a minor glitch: at startup, BIOS reports a message “Alert! Keyboard initialization failure.” for a few seconds, and then continues the boot process without any problems.
My PC has a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I assume the Bios message is displayed because at boot time, the BT driver is not yet loaded, and therefore the system can’t detect my BT keyboard at that time. I know that a keyboard using Bluetooth cannot access the Bios; to access Bios I temporarily connect a wired keyboard and mouse.
QUESTION: is there an easy way to get rid of the Bios failure message without connecting a wired keyboard?
Aurora R7
System Bios: 1.0.12
ePSA: Build 4306.12 UEFI ROM
Dell Wireless 1820 / Qualcomm QCA6174A Bluetooth 4.1
Thanks for your help!
Ben.

I have PC's (a non Dell desktop and a Dell Laptop) that have wireless mouse and keyboard. The desktop has a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse attached with a small USB "dongle". The Dell laptop has a similar USB Logitech dongle for a wireless mouse. Both are seen by the POST (Power On Self Test) and BIOS (and work in the BIOS).
Where are you plugging in the USB dongle? On a rear panel port or front panel port? If on the front, plug into a rear USB port. Here is the Dell setup instructions. Note the location where a USB keyboard and/or mouse should be connected.

Is there a BIOS option to disable checking for a Keyboard at Boot?
If not, have you tried the various BIOS Boot-Time hardware checks (Full, Quick, etc.)
