Aurora R8, AWCC keeps resetting my power saving settings
Hello,
This just started happening recently, maybe over the last month or so ago. I've had this PC for about 1 1/2 year with no issues until then.
I noticed my PC monitor was shutting off almost instantly, like I'd power on my PC, walk away to get a cup of coffee, and then come back and it was already off.
I started messing with the AWCC (Alienware Command Center) and realized that no matter what I set the "Turn off display after" setting to, it would always go blank once I restarted my PC and reset to the default which I think is 1 minute. I have tried using all of the preset profiles and changing those settings, and I have also created my own power profile. Everything saves and sticks until I select a profile to use, and then restart the AWCC (usually by restarting the PC, but I can re-create by just X-ing out of the command center and re-opening it).
It is driving me borderline insane at this point. Any help would be appreciated.
As a side note - Any negative to just uninstalling the AWCC as a whole? I don't really use it other than when my kids want to play with the lights haha.
Thanks all!

Give this a shot: Windows 10 power plan
There's no real negative to removing AWCC besides not being able to control the RGB anymore.
All the other functions can be done by free alternatives.
I would first check the windows power plan, in case the issue is not with AWCC.

Thanks! I did try this and I enabled the ultimate performance, but unfortunately the AWCC is still taking control and resetting the monitor setting. It is the weirdest thing.
I selected the now-available ultimate performance plan, in windows power settings first, and set the monitor to sleep "never". Then I went to the AWCC and set it to sleep never and hit save. Closed AWCC and re-opened it, and it was reset again. -_-

I think AWCC uses a service to apply it's settings. You could try stopping the service and see what happens.

Thanks! I tried this and it apparently knows how to restart itself haha. I guess I'm looking for a more permanent solution. I can work around it by manually changing the profile every time I turn on the PC but obviously it's really annoying to do that. I timed it and it's powering off after 1 min which is brutal!
I feel like there had to be an update or something that did this because it just started a month ago...but not seeing much else here so maybe it's just me?
