Since you're still under the one year warranty, you could email tech support, since this is a Dell app.
I'd probably first look at my dell update history to see what updates if any were installed when it stopped working. Perhaps one of those can be rolled back.

Interesting, Have you tried MSI Afterburner to see if there is a differencce. Is it possible to get a pic of your fan curves?

How do you mean? I'm not familiar with Afterburner, so no. But what difference would it see?

You'd expect to see a really high number, not 0, for the CPU temperature if it were a poor paste job.

The quality of the thermal paste cannot stop a sensor reading from loading in AWCC.
