Mixing and matching RAM modules can lead to issues, so make sure to only use the new sticks and make sure they are in the correct slots.

These systems are also very picky when it comes to RAM support. You can try a coin cell reset, but there's no guarantee it will work.

The only memory guaranteed to work is the OEM memory, and all those details can be found in the sticky in this forum.

As mentioned . . . use only your 2 new RAM modules. Clear CMOS by disconnecting power; removing the CR2032 coin cell battery, discharge flea power by holding in the power button for 30 seconds, reinstall the coin cell battery, connect power, and boot her up.

RAM modules should be installed in matching color slots for dual channel operation.

Vanadiel is correct. Your options are buy another 8GB Dell oem ram that matches your stock 8GB on line such as eBay (search by original memory maker model number listed below) , or buy two matched non-Dell 8GB ram (there are a few options).

I'll have to try some of these in time, thank you for a list of RAM that should work, as that is quite hard to find one thats actually valid.

Yes I did all of this, no success. IDK why crucial claims their RAM is compatible when it clearly is not.

I included eBay link for the Dell oem ram in my 1st reply.  You can upload a pic of your Dell oem 8GB for confirmation.

After clearing CMOS, if you use just one of the new RAM modules can you get a successful POST?

You will have to chat with them about that.

As far as what we can help you with, I think the post so far have been very good. Without more details from you about what DIMMs, what slots are are using, etc ... I don't see how we can help you.

That is why it's called a claim, and not a guarantee. I think they are just basing themselves of the OEM specs and even then I found the compatible RAM list to sometimes include modules that definitely are not going to work as advertised.
