Typically it would be an 8 PIN EPS, but since these are OEM boards who knows what it is. I remember on my R10 it was an 8 PIN header with an 8 PIN connector, but only wired with 6 wires from the OEM 1000 Watt PSU.
Others with an R10 had it wired with 8 wires. Never figured out why...

Note that it is an EPS 8-pin that connects to GPU_PWR header, not PCIe 8-pin.

You will still need the 8 pin for the motherboard.

One user opined “Plug in the 4 PIN EVGA (psu) cable labeled "CPU" into the GPU_PWR header, otherwise you will get a black screen. ”
so minimal requirement is to plug in 4/8 pin of GPU_PWR socket.
