Aurora R8, Nvidia RTX 30xx, upgrade, Dell support?
I'm currently running an NVIDIA 2080 OC with my Alienware Aurora R8 desktop. What does Dell expect our ability to upgrade to the Nvidia 3070 or 3080 series to be now, or do you expect smaller cards will be made at some point? What are the size dimensions we need to be mindful of if an Nvidia 3070 or 3080 is made that can fit into the R8 case?

Thanks. I have seen a few posts here and there about dealing with the fan to make it fit, and then others where people expect Nvidia will at some point make some smaller cards. Anytime you buy a desktop there is no guarantee that future graphics cards will work with it, but I've never had an upgrade issue in the 15 years I've owned Alienware PC's.
I think right now though there is an issue with the Nvidia 3000x cards in general so I'm going to wait a while before trying to slot one. If it comes to it I'll keep what I have for another year, and then upgrade the whole desktop when things are more stable.
Thanks for the replies.

@Anonymous
If the RTX3080 Founders fits in the Aurora R8, will it still cool properly? What slot should it be installed in?
