Yeah, it's not hard to paste the Nvidia chip (I'm not saying that's the issue here, sorry the thread is really long.. I am just commenting on repasting).
No that was when I removed the water block and put it back in the shroud. I don't have noise issues. My fan curve is set more aggressively than the default.
Yeah looked at those videos @Scallop quite a funny guy.
So the card crashed in that "Port Royal" test (RT Benchmark), have you tried it and see if your card crashes?
I tested Port Roya this morning on my RTX 3080, not amazing results imo: 10626, anyway it didn't crash
One thing I noticed in those videos that caught my eye, the fix, "I don't know what fixed it" but he pushes aside the additional thermal padding for those heat spots found on the case before the "fixed result"
Anyway, he sets the tone, get it replaced if you can, or repaste it if not under warranty, see if it makes a difference without the extra washers
It is wierd the fan spikes, but a lot has been happening in the last 6 months due to the RTX 30xx problems.

Anyone interested or having the same issue should have a look.

@r72019
So you have the loud fan noise issue as well?
And you fix it by just repasting?
