Aurora R8, installation of additional sata HDD

Question

I just purchased the Aurora R8 and Dell support states that you can just install two additional 2.5 HD maximum of 2 tb each.

I have a Seagate Barracuda 2.5 5TB Sata 2.5 drive and want to know if it will work in my computer?

The spec manual says 2.5 in drives up to 2TB size. You may have to partition the 1 drive into 2 but in theory you should be able to use the drive completely. I'd see if you can format it as such and give it a try. As long as your using UEFI and not BIOS compatibility it should work at least for windows.

Thanks so much for your reply. Another question, when I install it, will it show up in the BIOS or Device Manager or will I have to go to computer management and make sure it shows there.. Thanks Judi

Hello! The drive will show up in BIOS/UEFI however if there is a limit you will need to go to disk manager in Windows and partition it, if Windows makes you.
