Aurora R8 multiple flashing light codes
I recently had the issue of my SATA cable connector being chipped which was resulting in the 2 blinking lights on boot and some BSODs, but just used another connector attached to the same cable and went a month with no issues.
Now, i am getting the 4 lights, so I removed and re installed my RAM, and the 4 lights turned into 2 lights again? I unplugged and plugged back in the SATA connector and no success
I can't open the BIOS screen or any screen, I am thinking to just move on from this PC, lot of hard freezes and failures to load windows on startup, and now I can't boot it up at all, deteriorating. Any ideas?

I only have one stick of RAM(8GB), reseated it a few times no success.
New CMOS might work, I can't load up anything on the screen it doesn't even show the Alienware logo. A while back I was thinking of a ram upgrade though the ones that work for this PC are very pricy.

The 4 diagnostic lights and 2 Diagnostic lights basically refer to the same problem. 4 lights is a RAM problem and 2 lights indicates no RAM detected. Try removing and reseating the RAM again. If that does not help try just 1 stick of RAM and if the problem remains then try the other stick. Also if possible run diagnostics, F12 at boot, and watch for any RAM errors. The system is not that old and hard to believe the CMOS battery is giving you problems but it might be worth the effort to replace it with a brand new recently purchased battery.
