Aurora R9- Headset left ear audio emits from right ear

Hi! I have a problem with my headphones that developed recently. Both the left and right ear audio go into the right part, although the "left side" audio is quieter. I bought an entirely new pair of headphones after some troubleshooting, thinking it was a hardware problem, but they have the same issue. I tested them on another computer and they work there too-- I should have tested that before I bought new headphones...

I've tried checking the cords, messing with the balance, installing updates, updating and eventually reinstalling the audio driver entirely, something about turning off "audio enhancements" in the headphone properties... nothing seems to help. I don't have another set of corded headphones, so I can't check if it's the brand (the two I have are the same brand) although I don't think it is because the first one worked for a while. I don't have a dual jack to USB adapter, so I can't check if it's the socket either. I don't think it is, though, as the audio isn't GONE- it's just coming from the wrong ear.

Any suggestions?

A couple of questions.

1. Are the headsets USB connected? or with a 1/8" TRS plug?   Makes a difference as USB does not use the PC's sound card, it takes digital data (the same digital data the sound card uses) and converts to audio in the headset.

2. Is this ALL sound or only sound from certain apps?

Connects with a pair of plugs (one headphone one mic) and not USB. This happens with all sound.

Download a sound equalizer app and check the box to reverse all channels.

One example:  https://sourceforge.net/projects/pc-equalizer/

Check the jack.  If only partially inserted you will only get one side. Insert the headphone plug and wiggle and turn it to see if makes any difference.  I'm a guitar amp tech and we see that with plugs sometimes.   Also reseat (with the PC powered off unplug then plug back in) the front panel audio connector on the motherboard.

Page 10, item #15 is the audio connection to the motherboard in the manual linked below.

Ah, I think we may have read your post too fast.  So you bought two of these headsets, they both emit left ear sound out of all ear buds, you tried them on a different pc and had the same issue (not sure what you mean by not a hardware issue bc they work there too?), and on top of that the sound isn't balanced?

If it were the R9 jack with the issue you could try plugging it into the monitor jack or the r9's alternative top/back headset/speaker jacks to test the issue, but if you are having this issue on another pc too then probably not the R9's jack.
