This is for QNAP installation. It does not mention anything about drivers, or setup as it's designed to work in QNAP systems.

Why do you want to install this in an R11?

Whatever multi M.2 apparatus you use would need to have a controller because the Aurora R11 motherboard does not support bifurcation.

It has a controller chip with bifurcation and supports 4 M.2 Nvme SSD's on Pcie v3×4 speeds. The pcie slot to install it has to be v3×8.

Yes it has a switch. But just be aware it's designed to work with Qnap hardware as a raid controller using JBOD.

That does not mean it will work under windows.

On this webpage :

https://www.qnap.com/en/product/qm2-4p-384/specs/hardware

it states for pc intallations: The system BIOS and Operating System (OS) must be capable of supporting a PCIe NVMe SSD. Please refer to the technical manual of your system or consult with the vendor.

The Aurora R11 supports this specification, I already have a pcie to 1X M.2 nvme SSD card and it works perfectly.

He uses this card and does some benchmarks with it, on a windows pc...

I installed today this card! Works perfectly and flawlessly on Aurora R11. I will post some photos from installation and benchmarks.  No problem with temps. The same I had with 1 pcie to 1 nvme card.

It is not very high and does not interfere with rtx3080 airflow...
