Need serious help! RAM image not loaded.

I have tried everything to log back into windows and nothing has worked. I keep getting error messages like: "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" and "RAM image not loaded. RAM update denied."

I have tried:

  • Booting into safe mode (doesn't work, it just crashes with the same error code of: "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE")
  • Can't access "System Restore", "Command Prompt", "Restore PC", or anything like that because Windows tells me my password is incorrect when it's not. (Couldn't remember the old one so I changed it to a new one. Still tells me it's wrong.)
  • Can't enable XMP or Overclocking; both are permanently disabled.
  • And there is nothing wrong with the inner workings of my PC according to the several tests that Support Assist has made me run.

Is there something I'm missing? Is the reason I can't access Windows is because of my password not registering? Am I out a $1500 PC? Please help me. I don't want to lose this PC.

I ended up using "Factory Restore" to keep all my files and reset the system. I got everything back with a few minor changes to personal settings but that seems to be about it. Thank you to all who tried to help me!

Did you make any hardware changes recently?  Seems like an issue reading your boot drive.

That's where my confusion comes from. If it tells you your password is incorrect it is loading. But the error messages are consistent with it not loading.

Looks more like malware or a virus has taken over.

I am a bit confused. Going by what you wrote, it seems like windows is still loading, and asking you for a password and it says it is incorrect not letting you log in.

Normally when you change it to a new password, it will let you log into it with the new password.

Are you sure you are logging in under the correct username that goes with the password you changed?

Windows accounts have user names and passwords, although pending on what type of authentication you use the username might not be indicated on the login screen. Like for example a PIN. It will still use a username for accessing the account.

What kind of Alienware are you using?

That error message means windows can't load.

It would also help to know what PC you have.
