You may see some improvement going to another 8 GB but not as noticeable going from an additional 8 to 16 for a total of 32. And unless you are doing video editing or intense graphic work another 8 GB or 16 will not be a must for gaming or everyday use. Also the performance increase you saw was also from going from single channel to dual channel RAM use. If you are going to add RAM then add 2 x 8 GB RAM modules so you can run in quad channel RAM configuration. So it may be wiser to wait until you have the funds to add 16 more GB of RAM. This web page may help offer some advice.
At this point 16 GB is more than enough for average use and gaming but if you are determined you can go 32 GB to future proof the system.
When I went from 8GB to 16GB my load times in my games have decreased significantly. The larger maps I play on Battlefield load so much faster as well as my other games I regularly play. I'm hoping that if I add just one more 8GB RAM it will make these load times even faster. I know it wouldn't be as good as dual channel but would like to know if it would be worth the price just adding one. If there would be absolutely no improvement at all then I won't get it.

What are you doing that needs more than that 16GB?

Dual channel versus single channel operation makes a noticeable difference in gaming.
Personally I would always recommend going with dual channel memory, even if that configuration ends up costing you more.
