RTX 3060Ti, Nvidia Resizable BAR, file is incorrect?

I was excited about the new Resizable BAR support for the RTX 3000 cards, but when I checked the available updates. Only the 3060Ti, 3080 and 3090 have Resizable BAR support, the 3070 seems to be missing?

The RTX 3060Ti update is mislabeled as RTX 3070 VBIOS update? Is Resizable BAR support for the RTX 3070 missing for a reason?

I have a reply back from support. The VBIOS available for the RTX 3070 should be the previous version, 1.0.0.1.

The title is incorrectly labeled as RTX 3070 when it is in fact a VBIOS update for the RTX 3060 Ti .

There's a sticky now with links to all of the RTX VBIOS files =

RTX 3090/3080/3070/3060 Ti VBIOS

I'm reviewing the latest VBIOS updates for the 3000 series cards, and it appears the 3060TI, 3080 and 3090 all got ReBar support, but the 3070 did not. When you go to the driver support page:

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/alienware-aurora-r12-desktop/drivers

The 3070 is listed, but it actually takes you to the 3060TI VIBOS update which doesn't work, am I missing something here or did this card get missed in the updates?

I forwarded the issue to someone who can look into this. It looks indeed like the incorrect Vbios is linked.

Also, you should not post your service tag or express service code in public messages. If you could edit those out that would be great.

If they require them someone from DELL will ask for them in private message.

So is 3070 VBIOS update coming, the 1.0.0.1 does not support Resizable BAR? It doesn't make sense that only the 3080/3090 and 3060TI have it, but not the 3070? All other AIBs support ReBAR on their 3070 models.

Did they mention ReBAR support coming for the 3070? Its currently the only GPU Dell/Alienware provides that does not support it.

There's currently no Vbios update available for the RTX 3070 to enable Resizable BAR support.

They did not indicate to me when it will be available, but I am thinking it is on it's way and could be as simple as correcting that download page and pointing it to the correct file.

Also, unless you have a Ryzen 5000 series R10 with the latest motherboard bios enabled, this will not matter since no other Alienware Aurora machine besides that R10 currently support Resizable BAR at the motherboard level. So even if you had a Vbios that enables Resizable Bar, it would not work since you need the motherboard Bios to also support it. (R10 Ryzen 5000 version only at this moment).

I am sure they were working on it, and I have seen some users who had discussions with tech support mention updates for next month with regards to ReBAR support on some other systems.

The R10 Ryzen 5000 has the motherboard bios support. For those who own one of those this makes sense.

Everyone else will have to wait a bit more I guess.

I’m sorry but why? It’s like buying a new pair of shoes and there’s only one shoe in the box? Is really that hard to have the complete pair?
