Re-evaluated

Hi everyone, so I am getting a Aurora r7 with 512 ssd boot and 2tb hdd. It’s also 16gb of ram and the 2080 TI. I was worried about space and not wanting to put a lot of things on the hard drive itself. I originally was going to get the passport and run all games off the external ssd but with good advice here, I backed out. I purchased 2, 2.5 ssd drives for the two bay areas in the desktop.here is my question, is 16 gb good for now and with the 2 1tb ssd’s, I can now just format them and put what I need on them. So I am good to go right? Between FFXIv and VR games. Thanks for all your help

You are good to go. Just format the drives and put games, pictures, videos, etc. on them. And 16 GB is plenty for games. Most games today do not even use all of the 16 GB of RAM.

1. Sounds like a nice config.

2. I agree with @JOcean , 16gb is fine for gaming (and virtually everything else as well)..

3. Right. With SSDs as cheap as they are ... I'm also only installing SSDs inside new machines. I really only use (large spinning) HDDs for external USB-3 backups and also use them in my Synology NAS.
