gpu throttling? Help.
Just got my new alienware aurora r7. I got the i5 8400, gtx 1070, 16gb ddr4 2666, and 256 m.2 ssd. I opted for the Air cooled smaller power supply. So the problem I have is that upon opening any game the gpu temp shoots to 83c and stays there. Afterburner says im hitting my temp limit right away. Fps seems quite low. Im only getting 85ish frames maxed in overwatch. userbenchmark.com also says my 1070 is testing in the bottom 7% of its kind. This isnt normal right? How long is the return window with dell? Help Please!!

83c is OK for GTX-1070. Not great, but OK.

I guess use AfterBurner to turn-up the GPU fan if it bothers you.
All the Power-Supplies are air-fan cooled. I guess you mean you got the smaller 460-watt Power-Supply and the air-fan cooled Intel-i5 ? I think even that config has a Front-Fan, so you can use Thermal Controller in Command Center to adjust its curve also (bring more cool-air into the front). Might as well adjust the Top-Fan (exhaust) a bit higher while you are there.
Its probably better to just use one thread (you don't have to keep starting new ones for the same issues).
