17 R3 - Missing Top-Right Macro Keys in TactX
Hi, just got the Alienware 17 R3 and in the Alienware Command Center app, I can program the Left macro keys, but when I switch to the Top-Right Macro Keys tab, there is nothing in the list., all I see is Import profile/Export profile links.
Am I missing something?

btw, a key monitor app does detect keystrokes from these keys, so they're not completely dead.

Hi,
Its possible the Alienware Command Center app is not fully compatible with the TactX keyboard. Did the keyboard come with a disk or any software?

As the title of the post indicates, this is the keyboard on my Alienware 17 R3 that I just purchased a couple weeks ago. I would imagine that the preinstalled TactX should work. :)

Thanks for confirming this. Try reinstalling the Alienware Command Center application. Click here for the download link. First uninstall the Command Center from the Programs and Features list, then restart the computer and install it again.

Thanks for the suggestion, just tried this, uninstalled, rebooted, installed the version you linked to, rebooted. Same behavior.
Is there an authorized repair place in the Seattle area that can look? I just bought this machine.

Well they replaced the motherboard because it fried but after that I had the same problem you have. They changed the board again and replaced the left side macro keys (No clue why) and still a no go. I have a new keyboard coming tomorrow morning so if that doesn't work it has to be a software issue or something. I mean at this rate with all the service calls and part replacement costs they might as well of given me a new laptop.

Man, that ***. Yeah after not hearing back I gave up. In the future I think I would just return it. Are techs actually coming to your house to do this work or are you having to send it in?

Update: PSU, Power Connector, Motherboard 2x, Left Macro Keys, Keyboard all replaced and the issue is not fixed. I am going to try a re image to see if that works but it is not a hardware issue.
