17 R3 No Power- Fixed but will it happen again?
Hey all,
I just experienced the no-power problem with my 17 R3 that seems to be plaguing many users. The reset described in the sticky fixed the issue for now, but I'm wondering what caused it in the first place and what steps I can take to make sure it doesn't return. My unit is one week old.

there is nothing wrong with your hardware, so do not panic. It's the latest bios they released, people including me have had the same exact problem since updating to the latest bios. never had it on my 2015 bios that was installed when I purchased the alienware, they should really do intensive tests before they release a bios that cause such problems. In conlusion, its the bios that is causing the problem.
