Right, it will only Turbo-Boost when there is "a lot of work to be done". Also, watch your temps because I doubt it will Turbo-Boost if it's getting too hot.
I think if you turn-off Intel SpeedStep and similar BIOS options, it won't Turbo-Boost on it's own.
Ofcourse i know that i need to active some adjustments on BIOS but i already did all of BIOS settings that SpeedStep and VirtualizationTechnology etc. These all settings are on at the beginning but my CPU said me that my max frequency is 2.9Ghz.. On the other hand its speed decreases to 1.5-1.8 Ghz when its not on load.. But its max frequency up to 2.9Ghz for now.
Now i red some forums and they said there u can use Intel Extreme Tuning Software and i install it. Now i can active Turbo Boost inside the program. But after that if i go in bios at restart and chances nothing and reset my laptop, then when windows starts itself CPUs max frequency decreases to 2.9Ghz again.. So i need to start intel program and should do what i did before again.. There is something wrong..
There is no one who struggles with that issiue? I think no one doesnt realize it cause of it doesnt show up if u dont doubt it and u all can see when look its frequency on load in CPU-z.. I looked 3DMark tests and so many ppl, who didnt realize yet, has same (at 2.9 Ghz speed) physical score on CPU.. So they dont know their CPU cant use Turbo Speed Tech..
