Shut-down, unplug, press power-button a few times. Let rest 15 minutes, then power-up.

This is the "Power Dissipation" procedure and should help to reset MIO-Board.

Unfortunately (IIRC) the "outside of Windows" Dell Diags that ships with Aurora-R4 does not support checking the MIO-Board.

Then you get this message , So not sure if the cooling pump needs replacing or if its just a software problem. The computer still runs but the fan is running at full bore .

Many Thanks for your reply but when you power the system back up there is no movement in the vent covers and the fan just seems to be running fast . Then you get this error message .

Since you are running Win7-64, try a clean install of CC v2.8.9.0 . As in that link ... it's the latest version supported by Win7.

Also, since this is an ALX model, try removing AA batteries from MIO-Board lighting before doing Power-Dissipate.

Also, try re-seating MIO-Board's USB header cable to motherboard port.

Good Evening Guys

Well I seem to be going round in circles with the fault finding on this machine I went to this site and down loaded most of the files but its the same . I also went to the Dell web site and they checked the computer out and a few faults did show , See Attachment . I think soon it maybe best to contact a local Dell service center and let them sort it out . Does any body know who is the local Dell Service agent for Essex .
